Original Embroidery on Paper
Hand-embroidered work on painted paper. The piece begins as an abstract acrylic composition, then is stitched by hand with fine thread. Each work is one of a kind, carrying the traces of its making — brushstrokes of acrylic, the slight irregularity of hand-stitched thread, the tension of the needle pulling through paper. It is not reproduced; it exists only once.
This artwork is part of a diptych.
Each work can be collected individually or together as a continuous visual and conceptual dialogue. The Samhain blessings #1 is also available.
